Invertebrates make up over 97% of all animal species on Earth, yet they are often the most overlooked when it comes to welfare, protection, and conservation laws. From spiders and scorpions to beetles, snails, and centipedes, these incredible creatures play vital roles in maintaining healthy ecosystems. They pollinate plants, recycle nutrients, and form the foundation of countless food chains, yet they remain unprotected by most animal welfare legislation and are too often treated as disposable or insignificant.

The “Inverts Need Protecting As Well” Space exists to change that. Here, donors, advocates, and experts unite to raise awareness about the importance of invertebrate welfare and to push for greater legal recognition and care standards. We share research, success stories, care updates, and policy developments, all aimed at ensuring that invertebrates receive the same compassion and protection afforded to vertebrates.

Join us in standing up for the smallest and most misunderstood members of the animal kingdom. Together, we can show the world that size doesn’t determine worth.
